Helping your child at home with Maths

In Reception we use both White Rose Maths and The Maths Mastery scheme by the NCETM to deliver our maths curriculum. 

These two schemes work very well with each other and provide the children with a fantastic foundation in the understanding of number, shape and problem solving.  As the children transition into Year 1 they continue with the same schemes, helping all children to have a smooth move into KS1 learning.

	The Maths Mastery scheme uses Numberblocks to help teach children about number and maths concepts. Numberblocks is an educational show on Cbeebies. Click on the picture for access to BBC Iplayer.
	White Rose provide free access to their 1-Minute Maths app designed to build number confidence and fluency in Reception and Key Stage 1 pupils through quick, one-minute practice sessions. Reception children should start with subitising. Click on the picture to find out more information.
