Miss Blundell Miss Watkins

Miss Blundell is the class teacher in Class 5B and Miss Watkins is the class teacher in Class 5W.

Core Subjects

We follow the objectives set in the National Curriculum. Below are links to these documents for the core subjects (mathematics, English and science).

Foundation Subjects

Foundation subjects set out in the National Curriculum, which include art and design, computing, design and technology (D&T), languages, geography, history, music and physical education.

Below are links to our topic letters that we send out at the start of each half-term.

Home Learning

Below are some links to websites that have various resources and interactive games to help with your child’s learning. These are a great way to consolidate what we have learnt in school. Children have been given usernames and passwords for Mathletics, Times Tables Rock Stars, Oxford Owl and Espresso.

Below you can find a timetable of what is covered in class each week. Please note that this is a rough timetable to give you an idea of how much time we spend on different subjects but does change from time to time in order to best fit what the class is doing.

Spellings are given out on a Monday, with their weekly spelling test on Friday. The spelling sheets do not need to come back into school and can stay at home.

To reduce the amount of paper coming in and out of school, we are setting homework online via ClassDojo. As evidence to show that you have completed the task, you can upload a photograph onto your portfolio page.

Home Reading Books

This year, home reading books are handed out on a Monday and returned to school on a Friday to be changed. Your child will receive their new home reading book the following Monday. Please do not bring in books from home.
