Health Education

Our aim is to give factual information and continually to emphasize by examples and practice, the importance of a healthy life style. We believe that knowledge is power and that our Health Education programme empowers the children to make positive and informed decisions about the way they will choose to live.

We work with our school nurse, local football clubs, Manchester City Council, Manchester University and a range of other agencies to provide a range of vivid learning experiences in this area.

The formation of good habits in early childhood is absolutely vital to good health in later years. Thus the children are not allowed to bring sweets, biscuits, crisps or drinks to school. All foundation stage and key stage one children are provided with a piece of fruit each day. A scheme to offer cheap milk to children is in place, and older children are encouraged to bring in their own fruit as playtime snacks.

Parents, you also need to be aware that the school buildings - including the corridors and grounds are

NO SMOKING AREAS

It might sound hard but we do want to put your child in a smoke free environment during the school
